First Snyder Scholarship Winner
Louis J. Guerreso (center) of Dearborn, Mich. is the first winner of the J. R. Snyder Scholarship established by the Masonry Institute of Michigan for architectural students at Lawrence Institute of Technology. Guerreso is shown being congratulated by James R. Snyder (left), the veteran Detroit-area mason contractor in whose honor the scholarship is named, and Robert F. Ebeling, president of MCAA and treasurer of the Masonry Institute. Guerreso, 23, is a junior at Lawrence Tech's School of Architecture in Southfield, Mich. The $750 scholarship will be awarded annually by the Masonry Institute.
