The Joseph Shepard Building (Government of Canada) earned the Award of Excellence for 1978 in the 14th annual Canadian architectural design competition sponsored by the Ontario Masons' Relations Council. Five Awards of Merit also were presented, honoring recently constructed buildings with outstanding masonry features.
