Planning for '79 MCAA
International Masonry Conference & Trade Show Progresses at Full Tilt!
The Masonry Industry's largest and most impressive exposition of the year promises to be just that again, judging from the latest word received from MCAA Conference Chairman Charles Danna.
Danna has issued the preliminary program outline, and said that the complete program for MCAA's 29th International Masonry Conference and Educational Trade Show at the Marriott Hotel in Atlanta, March 1-7, should be wrapped up by mid-December.
The program will include a full slate of nationally prominent speakers, fact-gathering workshops, an informational trade show, and a live material handling demonstration. The entire event promises to be a truly rewarding educational experience for everyone who attends.
New Exhibitors to Join Trade Show
A number of new exhibitors will join the ranks of the "regulars" at the '79 Show, expanding on its educational value. "The MCAA Trade Show is off to an extremely fast start," commented President Eugene George. "It should provide one of the most diverse exhibitions we have ever had in the area of new equipment, products, systems and methods. Nowhere else in the Masonry Industry is a comparable exhibition available."
President George urges everyone to register early to avoid last-minute hangups in securing proper accommodations in Atlanta. He also announced that the MCAA Executive Board has directed that the "Negotiations/79" seminar on labor relations—a "must" program for all mason contractors—be rescheduled to Thursday, March 1, to allow all MCAA Chapter Negotiating Committee members, presidents and other officers to attend this timely and worthwhile presentation.
"Negotiations/79" will be under the direction of Charles Kothe, Dean of the School of Law, Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Okla., and George Plumb, MCAA Legal Counsel, Chicago, Ill. The program will run a full day immediately preceding the formal Conference opening at the Atlanta Marriott.
