R. J. Prossen, Inc. (MCAA) of Brookfield, Wis. is making news with an innovative masonry building system in the Midwest. Known as Rigid Frame Concrete Masonry Construction, the system is based on a modular design of insulated architectural concrete block, and precast columns, beams, and roof planks. The completed buildings are not only totally functional but aesthetically attractive, as the cover illustrates. For a detailed account of Prossen's approach to masonry construction, please turn to page 14. (Cover photo courtesy of the National Concrete Masonry Association.)

As the official publication of the Mason Contractors Association of America and the Canadian Masonry Contractors Association, Masonry publishes authoritative articles and timely news concerning activities of the MCAA and CMCA. Statements and opinions expressed in editorials or articles by the editors and contributors do not necessarily represent the official position of the MCAA or the CMCA, and the publication of advertising does not imply endorsement of products advertised or statements made concerning them.
