# MCAA Needs Your Help On Important Survey!
The MCAA Safety Committee has mailed to each MCAA member an important fact-gathering survey form dealing with data concerning the Masonry Industry's practice of bricklayers working overhand.
If we are to file for a change or modification of the Construction Safety and Health Regulations, we urgently need your help in gathering this material. The MCAA Safety Committee is trying to take positive steps to solve a very critical problem that faces all of us. This survey is the foundation on which the Committee can base its request for a change or modification of the existing Construction Safety and Health Regulations.
This survey needs the response of every MCAA member. Be sure to fill out the yellow survey form previously mailed to you and return it to MCAA today!

# Dee Brown Named to Serve on IMI Board
C. Dewitt "Dee" Brown, a Dallas mason contractor, has been named to fill the vacancy created on the Board of Trustees & Advisors of the International Masonry Institute (IMI) due to the retirement from the Board of Donald R. Bidwell of Plymouth, Mich. Brown's appointment was announced jointly by Charles F. Velardo, chairman of IMI. and Eugene George, IMI vice chairman and president of the Mason Contractors Association of America (MCAA). # Brailsford Leaves MCAU For Mason Contracting
After five year's service as executive director of the Mason Contractors Association of Utah in Salt Lake City. Jerry Brailsford is returning to the mason contracting business. His new firm will be known as Brailsford Industries and will be doing commercial and industrial work throughout the western states.
"I am going to miss the association work greatly, but I'm also looking forward to getting back to contracting," Brailsford said. "I've been a contractor before, and I've realized lately how much I love the business. I want to get back to the challenges and opportunities of being a contractor."
# MCAA Fall Executive Board Meeting Set for Scottsdale, Nov. 8-12
All plans have been finalized and the countdown has begun for MCAA's Fall Executive Board Meeting at The Inn at McCormick Ranch, Scottsdale, Ariz., November 8-12. Here's a brief rundown on the various business. educational and social activities you can look forward to at the meeting:
►Panel contractors will assemble on Wednesday, November 8. for an all-day session to consider all factors in regard to this type of masonry construction. If you are interested in panelization, you should be there!
►On Thursday, November 9. MCAA Committees will start their work, continuing on through Friday, November 10.
On Friday afternoon, members will take to the links and play in the Annual MCAA Executive Board Meeting Golf Tournament. Tennis enthusiasts will have the opportunity to try out the courts on Thursday afternoon. Friday evening will be devoted to the Annual Executive Board banquet.
Saturday, November 11. will be totally set aside for the MCAA Executive Board Meeting starting at 9 a.m. continued on page 30
