# IMI Issues New Catalog
The International Masonry Institute has issued the latest revision of the IMI Catalog of masonry publications, audio-visuals and promotion aids.

These catalogs are being distributed by the thousands to all who respond to IMI advertising. A single copy may be obtained free by requesting it from IMI, 823-15th St., N.W., Washington. D.C. 20005.


# Norm Lunde of Illinois Brick Co. Retires
Norman Lunde, widely known among mason contractors and architects in the Chicago area, has announced his retirement from Illinois Brick Co. with which he has been associated for 32 years.

Lunde joined Illinois Brick immediately after World War II and became sales manager in 1960. He was elected vice president in 1969. A past president of the Builder's Club, he will continue to work on special projects for the company.

Succeeding Lunde is Bill Adamson, who joined Illinois Brick in 1949. He became assistant sales manager in 1960, and now assumes the post of vice president in charge of sales.


# Larsen Heads MARBA For Third Term
Donald E. Larsen, representing the Mason Contractors Association of Chicago, has been reelected chairman of the Mid-America Regional Bargaining Association (MARBA), a group of construction employer associations united for collective bargaining purposes.

This marks Larsen's third term as chairman of MARBA and his fifth year as an officer of the group.


# Arizona, Michigan Groups Elect Officers
The Arizona Masonry Guild and the Masonry Institute of Michigan have elected their new officers for 1978. Frank J. Soave of Cavanaugh & Soave, Inc., Troy, is the new president of the Masonry Institute of Michigan, and Joe Talafous of Southwest Caulking Contractors, Inc., Phoenix, heads up the Arizona Masonry Guild.

Other top officers elected were: Arizona-Henry A. Slicer, Phoenix Brick Yard, vice president; Ed Young, AAA Masonry, secretary, and Dick McKechnie, McKechnie Masonry, treasurer.

Michigan-Edwin E. Viall, Jones & Simpson, Inc., Flint, vice president; Jack Barron, Barron Construction Co., Inc., Pontiac, secretary; Gesue (Joe) Forte, G. Forte Co., St. Clair Shores, assistant secretary: Francis Costella, Monte Costella & Co., Southfield, treasurer, and Dwight Lewis, Rohn Fireproofing Co., Oak Park, assistant treasurer.

Contracting for new construction in January remained at a near-record rate, according to F. W. Dodge Division of McGraw-Hill Information Systems Co. January contracts for future construction projects totaled $9,390,186,000, up 39% over the same month of last year.
