Dave Seitzinger of Dave's Masonry, Lake Oswego, Ore., has been elected president of the Portland Chapter of MCAA. John Reisbeck has been elected vice president and marketing director of Preway, Inc., Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., manufacturer of energy-conserving fireplaces. Jerry Pope, noted lecturer for MCAA's series of masonry estimating and management courses, has announced the formation of his own consulting firm with major emphasis on masonry construction activities. Richard L. Murray, vice president & general manager, Building Materials Marketing Division of the Flintkote Co., was elected president of the Gypsum Association at the 50th anniversary meeting of that organization held recently in Chicago. William R. Howell, perlite ore products manager, Minerals Division, Grefco, Inc., has been elected president of the Perlite Institute. The American Society for Testing & Materials has named Donald E. Brotherson, research professor of architecture at the University of Illinois, a 1980 recipient of its Award of Merit.
