The firm is providing construction management/consulting service for the Lafayette Place project, a major commercial complex situated in the central business district. The project will include a new four-star hotel, 200,000 net leasable feet of retail space, and a 1,200-car garage. Excavation has begun on the site.
Morse/Diesel also has been retained as construction manager for the Ritz-Carlton addition and the Somerville Assembly Square Hall.
Milwaukee MCA to Hold
First Masonry Show
The Mason Contractors Association of Milwaukee will sponsor its first annual Spring Masonry Show, May 16-17, in Sussex, Wis. The event, featuring masonry product and equipment displays, will be held at the Holquist Stone Co. facilities, N52 W23564 Lisbon Rd.

McGrew Talk on Energy
The Mason Contractors Association of Spokane (Wash.) hosted a luncheon on February 13 for local members of the AIA and the Structural Engineers Association. Dr. Jay McGrew, founder of Applied Science & Engineering Co. and more recently appointed a member of the Masonry Research Foundation Advisory Council, addressed the luncheon group on energy and heat loss problems.
