He started in 1946 and was the tenth member of the young company known then as Home-O-Nize. Today the firm has seven divisions, 14 plants in seven states, and sales approaching $300 million.

Dahl's first assignment was as head of the planning division. In 1950, when the company acquired the rights to manufacture and market powered wheelbarrows from Bell Aircraft, the Prime-Mover Co. was formed and Dahl was named vice president of the new division.

During the period when he was general manager of Prime-Mover, he also became a vice president of HON Industries, the parent company. In 1970 Dahl was named senior vice president of HON.

# Metropolitan Ceramics Expands Canton Plant

Metropolitan Ceramics has announced the expansion of its Canton, Ohio plant for the manufacture of "Ironrock" thin paver tiles.

Metropolitan's Canton plant was the first American manufacturing facility built with automated equipment designed to produce split-tile. The system allows a dual unit to be processed with all the advantages of a single unit, resulting in a thin paver having the strength of a thick one.

Ironrock was selected as the flooring product for all high traffic areas of Hartsfield Atlanta Airport, which handles some 55 million passengers a year. The job required 500,000 sq. ft. of tile-more than nine acres.

Nothing is quite so annoying as to have someone go right on talking when you're interrupting.
