IMI PROGRAM BOARDS
continued from page 7
IMI Trustee George A. Miller (at head of table) conducts a meeting of the Research & Development Program Board which concentrated on developing priorities for meeting industry-wide masonry research needs.
The program board for the market development program recommended extension of an on-going, multi-level communications program designed to create building industry and public awareness of the skills and capabilities of union craftsmen and contractors, and to support an industry-wide market research project.
The labor management program board agreed to pursue its work initially along two lines: 1) development of a broad disputes settlement mechanism, and 2) an analysis of the potential for increasing productivity through "quality of work life" projects.
The new IMI will hold its next meetings in November. 1981.

Large Turnout for MCA Golf Outing
They're all smiles and have good reason to be happy, following one of the most successful golf outings ever staged by the Mason Contractors Association of DuPage County, III. Nearly 220 players turned out for golf on the challenging Elmhurst County Club course, and some 290 association members and guests enjoyed the dinner and entertainment that evening.
Responsible for staging the annual affair, on a weather-perfect day, were golf committee chairman Tony Luczynski of Elmhurst, pictured at the mike with committee member Bob Perozynski of Holman Brick Co., Schaumburg. The lady is Johnnie Howell of Paragon Studios, a professional model who assisted with distributing the door prizes. Other committee members were Paul Schroeder, executive secretary of the association, Jerry Forbes of Lone Star Industries, Des Plaines, and Ralph McBride of Beck Face Brick & Supply. Wheaton, ILL..
