Masonry Magazine April 1981 Page. 27
The speakers at the second session of the Conference on March 3 were well known professional engineers from the masonry field. Their presentations centered on progressive collapse and passive solar energy. Pictured (from left) are: Alan Yorkdale, Brick Institute of America: MCAA president Louis J. Helbert, Jr.: Mario Catani, Portland Cement Association, and Kevin Callahan, National Concrete Masonry Association.
They're all smiles and for good reason. Denise Rakoci, wife of Robert Rakoci (standing to her left), was the winner of a four-day Great Lakes cruise awarded by Huron Cement of National Gypsum Co. Huron masonry representative Brian Page (far right), Mt. Prospect, III., made the presentation at the MCAA Annual Banquet on March 3. Mr. & Mrs. R. J. Rakoci are at the left. Mr. Rakoci heads the MCAA-member firm, R. J. Rakoci Mason Contractor in Darien, III.
Among the many ladies activities at the Conference, Trudy Breithaupt of Shreveport, La., presented fashion tips on how to make color work for you in a practical and personal manner.
