Labor Attorney Schiller Opens Washington Office
The former counsel to the Laborers' International Union, Arthur M. Schiller, has established a private practice of law at 1900 M St., N.W., Suite 610, Washington, DC 20036, (202) 223-9475. The practice will emphasize labor and employment law.

Veteran Mason Contractor Leonard Jacob Retires
When Leonard P. Jacob retired from the mason contracting business recently, it marked another milestone in the family history of bricklaying that goes back almost a century, and will continue with his sons into the next century.

Leonard's father, Al Jacob, and his grandfather, Henry Jacob, uncles John and Ed, and other members of the Jacob family have left a permanent mark on the bricklaying tradition in Greater Cincinnati.

MCAA wishes Leonard, his wife, Joan, and the Jacob family continued good luck and good health.

Masonry Institute of Tennessee Formed
The new Masonry Institute of Tennessee, an outgrowth of the Masonry Institute of Memphis, was formed recently and articles of incorporation ratified. The organizational meeting was attended by approximately 75 individuals representing mason contractors and suppliers, bricklayer union officials, brick manufacturers, and block, cement and aggregate producers.

Hari Heads Arizona MCA
Jim Hari of John F. Vickers Masonry Contractors, Inc. has been elected 1982 president of the Arizona Masonry Contractors Association.

Bill Lance of Roma Masonry, Inc. was elected vice president, and Joe Talafous of Southwest Caulking Contractors, Inc. was elected secretary/treasurer. Board members include Blaine Warner of Warner Masonry, Inc. and Albert Fields of Springfield Contractors.

Gulde, Dagostino Named To Top Posts of NCMA
C. James Gulde, president of Gulde Block & Brick, Inc., Amarillo, Texas, and Kenneth A. Dagostino, secretary/treasurer of Dagostino Building Block, Inc., Schenectady, N.Y., have been elected chairman of the board and chairman-elect, respectively, of the National Concrete Masonry Association. They were installed in office during the association's recent annual convention in Anaheim, Calif.

Gulde holds patents on various block and brick processes and machinery, including Founder's Concrete Brick. Dagostino has long been active in the work of the concrete masonry industry as a director and Executive Committee member of the NCMA.
