George Miller Named to AFL-CIO Trust Post
MCAA's executive vice president, George A. Miller, has been named to the newly formed Housing Investment Trust of AFL-CIO. He is one of 13 trustees named nationwide.
The Trust consists of collectively bargained union pension funds and will be used to provide long-term mortgage financing for single and multi-family dwellings.

Richard B. Miller has been elevated to president of McGraw-Hill Information Systems Co., New York, N.Y. Marblehead Lime Co., Chicago, Ill., has promoted Ernest E. Burgh to vice president/operations. Barry L. Eller has been named general plant manager for the J-I Case construction equipment manufacturing operations in Burlington, la. The American Institute of Architects Chicago chapter has installed C. William Brubaker, executive v.p. of Perkins & Will, as its 1983 chapter president.

Sears Elected President of Portland MCA for '83
Richard E. Sears of Schouten & Sears Masonry, Portland, Ore., has been elected 1983 president of the Mason Contractors Association of Portland.
Elected to serve with him were Michael Massie of Massie Brothers Masonry, Battleground, Wash., vice president, and Scott Everist of Howard G. Jacobs Masonry, Portland, secretary/ treasurer.
Stout Heads BIA
Meeting at its 48th annual convention in Colorado Springs, Colo., the Brick Institute of America elected Edward L. Stout Jr. of Acme Brick Co. president for 1983.
Also elected were David K. Cushwa, 3rd, Victor Cushwa & Sons, Inc., vice chairman, and Kenneth W. Dunwody Jr., Cherokee Brick & Tile Co., treasurer.
John P. Gleason Jr. and Charles N. Farley were reelected president and secretary, respectively.

IMI Appoints Rhault Reg. Director in East
The International Masonry Institute, Washington, D.C., has appointed Robert Rhault as regional director for market development in the Massachusetts area. Rhault, an architectural consultant and marketing expert, will be directing the first regional office to be established by IMI, a joint organization of MCAA and the International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftsmen.
Warner Named to Direct Arizona Masonry Groups
Blaine Warner, a leader in the state's masonry construction industry for more than 20 years, has been named executive director of the Arizona Masonry Guild and Masonry Industry Program of Arizona.
Warner, who previously headed his own mason contracting firm, is a past state chairman and regional vice president of MCAA. He also served as president of the Arizona Mason Contractors Association and the Masonry Guild, as well as chairman of the board of trustees of the state's Masonry Industry Program.
