37th MCAA Conference & Trade Show, Dallas, Texas, March 14-18
Initial planning is well under way and producing results for MCAA's '87 International Masonry Conference and Educational Trade Show to be held at the luxurious Loews Anatole in Dallas, March 14-18.
A tentative schedule has been developed for the Pre-Conference Seminars immediately prior to the "main event." One seminar most mason contractors will not want to miss is the two-day program on Stone Panels, a vital aspect of masonry construction today. This seminar will be presented in four parts:
* "Engineering. Shop Drawings and Detailing." with Jim Amrhein of the Masonry Institute of America, Los Angeles, and J. Gregg Borchelt. Masonry Institute of Houston/Galveston, as the instructors.
* "Installation and Fabrication," given by Turner Smith of Masonry & Concrete Consultants, Inc., Houston, Texas.
* "Contracts and Liability." presented by MCAA President Dee Brown of Dee Brown Masonry, Inc., Dallas.
* The final segment will be a Field Trip of Dallas, led by Dee Brown, to inspect the many stone panel buildings completed or in various stages of construction.
