Workshop #2 was conducted by MCAA legal counsel, George Plumb, and covered the very complex subject of "Sub-Contractor Clauses and Their Effect on Jurisdictional Disputes." Mr. Plumb has handled the vast majority of MCAA matters before NLRB, and is one of the leading experts in the field on this subject.



Workshop #3, "Fireplace Construction," was covered by George Milne, Vice President, L. C. Pardue, Inc. This seminar, using the recently published book by James Amrhein, "Fireplace and Chimney Handbook" was a lively and spirited discussion on various aspects of fireplace design and construction. Mr. Milne also related how the Pacific Northwest, specifically the Portland area, had promoted fireplace construction and gave specific examples of successful promotion efforts.
