CHANGES GROWTH
A management team backed by Minneapolis investors Chris Stolee and Bob Zapolski has been announced as the successful bidder for Lull Corporation, a leading manufacturer of rough terrain forklifts. Lull reports rebounding strongly from a 1992 Chapter 11 filing and states they're currently enjoying a record backlog of orders. Jim Hoogervorst, vice president of marketing and Dick Baxter, vice president of operations, were also members of the buyout group. More than seventy production workers were added in the last six months, and plans are to retain most of Lull's key employees in the new company.
Gene Martin has been named district manager for the states of California, Nevada and Arizona, and William Cox has been named district manager for the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and parts of Alabama, by Stone Construction Equipment, manufacturers of light construction equipment.

Steve Doty, president of Peerless Brick and Block, St. Albans, West Virginia, was elected president of the Ohio Concrete Block Association during the association's annual meeting in Columbus, Ohio. Other officers installed were: Michael Brandon, vice president; Prairie Builders Supply, Fremont, Ohio and Doug Ebling, treasurer: Lima Cement Products, Lima, Ohio.
John Loye, York Building Products, Lebanon, Pennsylvania, has been elected president of the Pennsylvania Concrete Masonry Association for the 1993-94 year. George Patton, a founder and honorary member has been named executive director for PCMA, replacing the retired Jim Gianoni of Erie, who was the director for the past fifteen years.
The Brick Distributors of Minnesota recently elected new officers. Don Herweyer, Ochs Brick and Tile, was elected president; Dick Whitney, Standard Brick, Duluth, was elected vice president and Al Steiff, Northland Brick, Brainerd, was elected secretary-treasurer. Herweyer replaces Vince Whitted, Minnesota Brick and Tile, who served as BDM president since 1989.

Jerome H. Alciatore, president of Alciatore Associates Architects, Metairie, Louisiana, has been elected president of the Construction Specifications Institute. William F. Riesberg, William Riesberg Architects, Charleston, South Carolina, has been named president-elect. Elected as vice presidents were Richard A. Eustis, Kenneth E. Guthrie, and George F. White, Jr. James D. Baker, the BSW Group, Tulsa, Oklahoma, has been elected secretary; and J. Gregg Borchelt, Brick Institute of America, continues his term as treasurer.
Paul Wienke, formerly plant manager, has been appointed director of manufacturing by Kirchner Industries, Bridgeton, Missouri, manufacturer of masonry and concrete products. His duties include management of all manufacturing functions for the Bridgeton, Valley Park and Wentzville facilities.
