Marc Meyers has joined the Illinois Masonry Institute Promotion Trust as staff architect. His duties will include answering technical questions, producing technical brochures and establishing an in-house desktop publishing system.
Christopher Ingrassia has been named an associate of the architectural firm Lucien Lagrange and Associates of Chicago. He was formerly with Cooper Carry and Associates in Atlanta. His new duties will include developing architectural and interior design concepts.
Theodore DeVit has joined the sales staff of Redland Brick where he will be responsible for sales in Connecticut and a portion of Western Massachusetts.
Jim Campbell is the new brick industry liaison for the Brick Association of South Carolina. He will work with both the home builders and masons to strengthen and promote the brick industry.
J. A. Wintz has opened a consulting masonry engineering practice, Joseph Wintz, Limited, in Falls Church, Virginia. He has seventeen years experience in the field of masonry engineering including seven years as assistant chief engineer with Brick Institute of America.

James Clarke has been named to head up Master Builders' new engineering services group. The group will assist customers in the use of concrete admixture products. Clarke has more than thirty years experience as a structural engineer and executive in the construction industry.
Larry Guidi has been retained as editor of The Estimator, the magazine of the American Society of Professional Estimators.
Fred Powers, III, has been promoted to vice president of materials management by Rawiplug Company. He will be responsible for coordinating all manufacturing, production and purchasing of materials. Guillio Faustini has been retained as drilling and anchoring systems engineer in customer service by Rawiplug. His duties will include answering inquiries and providing customer support for architects and engineers.
Stone Construction Equipment announces the appointments of Frank Masterson as vice president of sales, Keith Stumbo as vice president of export sales and Brian Bereike as district manager of Delaware, New Jersey, and parts of New York and Pennsylvania.
The Masonry Institute of Michigan has elected the following officers: John Robovitsky, president of Robovitsky, Incorporated, as chairman, Mariano DiGiovanni, president of Central Masonry, as vice chairman; Roy A. Seelbinder, president of R. A. Seelbinder Construction, as treasurer; and Tom Baker, vice president of Baker Construction, as secretary.
William R. Oberfield, president of Oberfield's Concrete Products, has been elected chairman of the board of the National Concrete Masonry Association. New members to the board of directors are: Stephen Roebuck, Florida Mining: Alan Fendt, Fendt Builders Supply: Michael Hicks, Grand Blanc Cement; Robert Dyer, Chandler Materials; and Tom Hammer, Westblock Products. The new members of their executive committee are: Peter Hoyt, Betco Block and Products; and David Pederson, Amcon Block and Precast.
Quikrete Companies of Atlanta have acquired Tri-State Building Materials of Memphis, expanding the number of their plants to fifty-four. The new plant will operate under the name Tri-State Building Materials of Quikrete and they will offer their full line of products throughout Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee.
Gerald P. Graff, president of Graff Flooring Contractors, has been elected president of American Subcontractors Association at their 1994 annual convention. Other officers elected include: Denise Norberg-Johnson, president Gust A. Norberg and Son, as first vice president; Wayne T. Ruth, president of Hunt Valley Masonry, as second vice president: Daniel Biedenbender, vice president of Atlas Iron and Wire Works, as treasurer; and Maynard Hulm, owner and president of Hulm Construction and Specalties Company, as secretary. The directors elected were Virginia Hopton, president of Hopton, Incorporated; Robert E. Lee, Jr., owner and president of Lee Masonry; Peter Schuyten, vice president of Harmon Contract Glazing, and Ed Windemuller, president of Windemuller Electric.
The Portland Chapter of the Mason Contractors Association of America has elected the following officers: president Kevin Storey, B&B Tile and Masonry; vice president Fred Bromley, Bromley, Incorporated; and secretary-treasurer Dick Sears, Shouten and Sears Masonry.
Garth Miller will be retiring as director of promotion for The Ontario Masonry Industry Promotion Fund. He has been in the construction industry since 1954 and is the past president and fellow of Construction Specification Canada and past president of the American Concrete Institute.

A member of the National Sculpture Society, Donna's brick sculpture has received honors in the American School and University Architectural Portfolio. Her current National Park Service memorial for the American Ex-Prisoners-of-War in Andersonville, GA combines sculpted brick and bronze.
