900cm Mixer
CF Giico introduces the Gilson 900CM concrete mixer with optional side discharge design that allows the operator to move the wheel box or dump box closer to the mixer center for safer and easier discharge. Built for long wear, the 900CM's rugged frame features heavy structural tube and channel configuration for strength and rigidity against punishing road conditions, and a heavy gauge steel drum for years of service. Massive paddles and blades accomplish thorough, batch a minute mixing and are removable for easy servicing or replacement. A direct chain drive prevents slippage for positive mixing, batch after batch. The infinite position tilt and brake system with heavy-duty cast internal gear and pinion allows optimum mixing angle for the mix material and batch size. A new feature, the hinged engine plate, facilitates easy field maintenance and better accommodates engine vibration for less likelihood of metal fatigue. Gilson 900CM concrete mixer is available with gas, diesel or electric power, as well as Stationary A-Frame or End Discharge design options. Loading Strength Tester
Three hand-operated portable tester kits for the accurate measurement of the tensile loading strengths of fixings and fastenings in concrete, masonry and other construction materials, have been developed by a British manufacturer. The three models are: a medium-duty with a loading capacity of up to 2 tonnes (4000 lbs/F); a heavy-duty with a loading capacity of up to 9 tonnes (18000 lbs/F); and a special roof f1xings tester with an 80 mm-long (3.1 Sin) stroke enabling old fixings to be extracted after test, if required. Each tester is equipped with a dial-type load gauge with a maximum load pointer giving readings of the loadings as they are progressively applied. The gauges have shatter-proof glass and a rubber casing to protect against shocks. British co.: Hydrajaws Limited. (Contact: Royston Morgan).3 Tile Cross Trading Estate, Tile Cross Road. Lifeline
Miller Equipment, innovative manufacturer of fall protection products, expands its already substantial product line with the introduction of the new Mighty LiteTM 20-foot Self-Retracting Lifeline. The innovative design, up to 30% lighter than competitive products in its class, means your workers will prefer it. MightyLiteTM combines unrestricted mobility with dependable fall protection for construction, warehouse, utility, mining, and many other applications. For on the job versatility, an array of mounting alternatives allows positioning against walls or in confined spaces. MightyLite's lightweight design makes the unit more mobile; a worker can carry the unit and install it with unparalleled ease. In use, the MightyLiteTM unit pays out up to 20-feet, and its smooth retraction forces provide a comfortable work environment. In the event of a slip or a fall, the worker can depend on MightyLite's centrifugal braking mechanism. The force of a fall on the lifeline activates the braking mechanism, limiting a free fall to less than 24 inches. Built in fall indicators visually alert the worker that the unit has been subjected to fall arresting forces. For more information, or to place an order, call 1-800-873-5242. Fax: 1-800-437-2476.
