John Mancuso
John Mancuso, was most instrumental in the formation of the Greater Kansas City Mason Contractors Association and served as it's first President until December of 1999. In mid 1997, Mancuso spearheaded an organizational meeting in an attempt to start a local Chapter and, after several months of additional meetings, the Chapter was incorporated on December 10, 1997. The Chapter teamed with Habitat for Humanity and donated labor, equipment and materials for the building of houses.

The membership has also assisted local high schools in their career days in an attempt to recruit qualified individuals for the apprenticeship program. Although Mancuso no longer serves as President, he remains very active and continues to be an important part of the Greater Kansas City Mason Contractors Association.
Mat Glover
Working hard to rebuild masonry training and recruitment programs in Colorado after the economic upheavals of the mid-eighties, Mat Glover is a force that won't quit. Glover currently serves as Chairman of the state's Masonry Apprenticeship Committee which is seeking U.S. Department of Labor approval for their training program. They are hoping to receive B.A.T. approval by September when their training program will be in full operation. Currently there has not been an approved masonry training program in Colorado since 1984. Glover serves as a Board member of Colorado Industrial Trades Council which is active in recruiting high school students into the trade. He is also active in promoting masonry throughout Colorado with service to the Rocky Mountain Masonry Institute where they have recently hired an architect to promote masonry to other architects. Glover is a current member of the MCAA Legislative Committee.

Mike Sutter's main focus has been to recruit and train young people for the masonry industry. In fact, he has taken this interest to new heights with the responsibility of serving as a co-author for MCAA industry training manuals being published by the MCAA. Sutter has been very active recruiting and training young masons with his service on both the Advisory Board for Metro Tech Vocational School and the Arizona Masonry Contractors Association Apprenticeship Committee, which recently won U.S. Department of Labor approval for their training program.
