# A.R.E. Receives Influential Frost & Sullivan Award

A.R.E., Inc. announced that its LSII Series hard tonneau cover has received the prestigious Frost & Sullivan Light Truck Accessories Award for Best Brand of Tonneau Covers in 2004. The award recognizes both the product's quality and overall customer satisfaction.

"Frost & Sullivan presented A.R.E. with the 2004 award for best after-market brand tonneau covers as voted by truck owners in the United States," says Jasmine Sachdeva, Research Manager for Frost & Sullivan. "A.R.E. was perceived by customers as having the following advantages: most durable; best brand for form, fit and function; and best style."

The Frost & Sullivan Award is presented each year to the company that has demonstrated excellence in new products to truck owners in the United States. Recipient companies have shown innovation to their customers and have received this recognition for their efforts.

# Multiquip Enters Middle East, Eastern Europe

Multiquip announced it will supply light- and medium-sized construction equipment to building professionals throughout the Middle East and in select Eastern European countries.

Multiquip products are now available from Turkey, Syria and Saudi Arabia in the east to Kazakhstan, Pakistan and Afghanistan in the west. European distribution includes such nations as Georgia, Armenia and Tajikistan.

Multiquip's expansion into the Middle East and Eastern Europe is part of the company's continuing global growth. Since the early 1990s, Multiquip has expanded worldwide with dealers now selling products in more than 90 countries. Offices are also located in Manchester, England; Quebec, Canada; Guadalajara, Mexico; and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

# Pettibone Names Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Pettibone, a manufacturer of material handling equipment, announced the appointment of Pete Haikio to the position of Vice President of Sales & Marketing.

The new Vice President comes to Pettibone most recently from SmartEquip where he served as Director of Sales for the high-tech online service solution start-up. Haikio's career has focused on heavy equipment and dealer distribution including six years at Omniquip where he evolved from Product Manager for telescopic handlers to Director of Marketing prior to his departure in 2001.
