TMS Holds 3rd Annual Meeting
San Diego Plays Host to The Masonry Society Membership.
THE PAN PACIFIC Hotel in downtown San Diego, California, played host to the third annual meeting of The Masonry Society in an elegant fashion. A great turnout helped to usher TMS into its sixteenth year of work, and much was accomplished in furthering the goals of the society.
The week-long event, held each year in conjunction with Masonry Expo, contains the meetings of the TMS technical and administrative committees as well as the board of directors meeting. The annual meeting consisted of a day-long technical session with almost twenty presentations on a wide variety of topics, ranging from An Architect's View of Masonry by Dave Noferi of NBBJ in Los Angeles to Correlation of Masonry Building Performance to Ground Motion by John Kariotis of Kariotis & Associates in South Pasadena.
One of the nice features of the TMS Annual Meeting is its broad subject range, providing interest for all of the wide variety of TMS members. The ing Laboratory at the University of California in San Diego.
